He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Jarvis Mason Piercey; his sons, Gregory and Chesley Vaters; and his siblings, Jean (John Morgan), Gwen (Kevin Harnett), John Piercey (Winnie), Sandra (Ken Zerbe), Cynthia (John Sharpe), Doug (Kathleen Burke), Linda Patey and Eugene Flynn (Paula Bugden).
