He is survived by: his children, Donald "Don" (Margaret), Karen Payne-Hodder (Carl) and Dave (Donna); his grandchildren, Douglas Payne, Bradley Hodder, Jeffrey Hodder and Chelsea Payne-Whelan (James); his sister-in-law Shirley Lamont (late Larry); his nieces and nephews, Donna Lamont Benn (family: Pat Spurrell), Barry Spurrell, Bob Spurrell and Dolores Wheeler; Peter Wheeler, Dawn Wheeler Marsh, Stephen Wheeler, Michael Wheeler and Melissa Wheeler.
In lieu of flowers donations in Doug's memory can be made to the CLB Regimental Band, The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, The Alzheimer's Society of Canada or a charity of one's choice.
