Douglas Mercer Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Douglas Mercer (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on May 21, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Edna Lorraine; his parents, Hubert Mercer and Eliza Mercer; his siblings, Reginald Norman (Eleanor), Chorine and Donald Mercer; and his pet Rosa.

He is survived by: his children, Wendy Martin (Gordon), Ian (Kim) and Jeannie Dunphy; his grandchildren, Alysha, Simon, Jacob (Madisan), Heidi (David), Evan, Kiera, Anna and Eli; his great grandchild Cailen; his brother David (Judy) of Grand-Falls; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Whalen (Jack), Christine Oates (Max), Jeanette Layden (late Albert) and Father Garry Parsons. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Doug's memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
