He was predeceased by: his son James; his parents, Edgar Parsons and Nita Parsons; and his sister Christine Schaeffer. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughters, Jennifer (Barry Parsons) and Jillian (Paul Glavine); his grandchildren, Sophie, Nicolas, Anna Parsons, Stella and Kristen Glavine; and his sisters-in-law, Angie Price, Mary Parsons, Geraldine Young (Jim), Mae Dyke (Don) and Audrey Maher.

A celebration of his life will follow once COVID-19 restrictions have been relaxed.
