It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edsel John Bonnell (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on February 7, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Anthea; his son Matthew; his parents, John and Rhoda; his sister Ina Winsor; his brothers-in-law, Bruce Winsor, John Marshall and Bill Marshall; his nephew Harry Marshall; and his parents-in-law, Walter and Gertrude Marshall.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Kimberly), John (Susan), Bruce (Liann) and Brett (Laura); his grandchildren, Laura, Emily, Sarah, David, Clara, Elizabeth and Sophia; his great grandchildren, Theo and Anthea; his sisters-in-law, Joan Marshall and Nancy Garner; and his niece Major Gail Winsor.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in Edsel's memory would be gratefully accepted for the community service outreach program of the Gower Community Band which owes its existence to his untiring work.
