Effie Andrews Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Effie Andrews (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on March 1, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Allan Lloyd Andrews; her parents, Obadiah Winsor and Ellen Ann Winsor; and her parents-in-law, Caleb and Eliza Andrews.
She is survived by: her sons, Lloyd (Patricia), Lewis (Marilyn) and Wayne (Susan); her grandchildren, Robert (Kelly), Susan (Dean), Peter (Kimberley), Brad (Nicholle), Mark, Todd (Crystal), Kristopher (Kelly), Michelle (Mark) and Stefanie; and her great grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, Joshua, Olivia, Isabelle, Noah, Maren, Teagan, Ethan, Lily, Kate, Gwenyth, Simon and Brooklyn.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 3rd 2026 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Wednesday, March 4th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Salvation Army St. John's Citadel (25 Adams Ave, St. John's, NL A1C4Z1).
Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations may be made to L'Arche Avalon or the Salvation Army St. John's Citadel Senior Band.
