It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eldon Richmond Thorne (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on August 14, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Eldon may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Eldon touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel Thorne and Jack Thorne (Brownsdale); and his brothers, Barry and Lennox Thorne. He is survived by: his wife Judy (Rodgers); his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law Ben Chambers; his pets, Finnegan and Frankie George; his sisters-in-law, Darlene Thorne (Lennox), Dorreen Rodgers and Shirley Rodgers-Hall (Gene); and also Doris Thorne.
