It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Ruby (Hollett) Hoyles (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicholas Hollett and Elizabeth Hollett (Wilson Hoyles); and her brother Lloyd Hollett. She is survived by: her parents-in-law, Rebecca and Herbert Hoyles; her sister Florence; her brother-in-law Melvin Squires; her son Barry (Brenda); her grandchildren, Nicholas (Ruben), Elizabeth (Colin) and Brent (Heidi); her daughter Joy Ann (Glenn); her grandchildren, Rebecca (Shawn), Allison (Jordon) and Christopher (Kayla); her great grandchild Sutton; and her sibling's children, Mel (Carolyn) and Janet.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Alzheimer's Society of Canada or a charity of one's choice.
