It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ella Bernice (Goobie) Bailey (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alfred Bailey; her parents, Thomas Goobie and Louise Goobie; her parents-in-law, Cyril and Annie Bailey; and her siblings-in-law, Dorothy Thistle (Edgar) and James Higgins (Mabel).

She is survived by: her daughters, Carla Murphy (Aidan Maloney), Lisa McKay (Shane) and Janine Mullins (Rod); her grandchildren, Lauren Murphy (Matthew Kavanagh), Garrett Murphy (Kiersten White), Brandon McKay (Nadine) and Curtis McKay (Nicole Morris); and her great grandchildren, Myelin and Hollis McKay. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and a large circle of friends.
