He was predeceased by: his parents, Reta Laffin and Arthur "Mac" Laffin; and his sisters, Patricia Lake and Dana Barron. He is survived by: his sons, Andrew and Philip Laffin; his daughters-in-law, Leslie Laffin and Shannon D'Arcy; his niece Selena Lake; and his granddaughter Grace Laffin.
