With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elsie Gertrude (Cater) Goulding (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 24, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lester Goulding; her parents, John Cater and Elsie Cater; and her siblings, Pearl, May, Mary, Joyce, William, Raymond, Betty, Robert, Terrence and Denis.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Goulding (Jackie), Kathy Roberts, Heather Lawrence (Garfield) and Denyse Trask (Gary); her grandchildren, Mark Goulding (Krista), Justin Goulding, Rebecca Arsenault (Shane), Heather Roberts, Adam Roberts, Jonathan Lawrence (Erica), Joshua Lawrence (Brittany), Christopher Trask (Angela) and Matthew Trask (Melissa); her great grandchildren, Jackson Goulding, Madison Lawrence, Sawyer Lawrence, Ellis Trask and Louisa Arsenault; her siblings, Ruth, Shirley and Gordon (Marlene); her close friends, Edith Woodland, Ruby Hill and Mary Moriarity; her niece Roslyn Goulding; and her friend Elsie. She is also survived by extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
