He was predeceased by : his parents, John Watson Strong of Clarenville, NL and Alice Elizabeth Strong of Arnold's Cove, NL; his sister Gloria Downey; and his grandson Jonathan Royce Kennedy. He is survived by : his daughter Joan; his wife Joan Strong; his children, Dolores Gosling (Bob), Nancy Burden (Terry) and Greg Strong (Man) of Calgary, AB; his grandchildren, Gavin of Seattle, WA, Amanda of North Bay, ON, Holly, Emily, Isabelle, Sophie and Brody of Calgary, AB; his great grandchild Jolie; his nephew Shane Downey (Annette) of Stephenville Crossing, NL; his niece Beverly Anne Benoit Black (Alphonsus); and his siblings-in-law, Art and Carole Burden. He is also survived by cousins, great nieces and nephews.
