She was predeceased by: her parents, Cleophus Newhook and Eliza Newhook; her husband George Spencer; her siblings, Samuel, Reginald, Millie and Sylvia; her daughter-in-law Marjorie; and her in-laws, Elizabeth, Ernest, Wesley, Berdena, Albert, Marjorie, Annie and Walter.
She is survived by: her son Calvin (Sandy); her grandchildren, Debbie (Geoff), Brad and Katherine (Darren); her great grandchildren, Griffin, Hannah (Darrell), Grace and Caleb; her great great grandchild Kane; her sisters-in-law, Shirley Newhook and Ida Decker (Guy); and her close friend Florence Young.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the 7th Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3).
