Franklin Nicholas Kum Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 29, 2026, Franklin Nicholas Kum (St John's, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Enid Kum and Kenneth Kum; and his sister Tessa Hamp. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Burry-Kum; his children, Robert Kum (Michelle), Katrina Kum and Andrea Kum; his grandchildren, Gabriella, Raegan, Addison and Kamaya; his brother Phillip Kum; and his brother-in-law Geoff Hamp. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, in-laws, and many close friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mark the Evangelist Anglican Church (203 Logy Bay Rd, St. John's, NL A1A3T7).
Donation's may be made in Dr. Kum's memory to St. Mark's Anglican Church, Logy Bay Road.
