He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril Daniels and Joyce Daniels; his parents-in-law, Gordon and Lily Fillier; and his brother-in-law Gordon Fillier.

He is survived by: his wife Violet; his children, Ian (Crystal), Sherri Crane (Derek) and David (Nancy Wicks); his grandchildren, Matilda Daniels and Jacob Crane; his stepgrandchildren, Conner, Alexa and Ella Wood; his siblings-in-law, Hayden (Lois), Russ (Debbie) and Lorraine Fillier; and his close friends, Anne and Stan Martin.

As expressions of sympathy flowers gratefully accepted or donation's may be made in Gary's memory to the Canadian Red Cross.
