He was predeceased by: his son Gerry; his wife Nina; his parents, Peter Squires and Rhoda Squires; his siblings, Gordon Squires and Edith Mercer (Duncan); his parents-in-law, Fred and Mary Tucker; his siblings-in-law, Olga Dooley, Mary Whitten, Reg (Beatie), Don Tucker and Ron Martin; and his siblings' children, Barry Squires, Lloyd, Peter Mercer, Len Tucker, Gary Tucker and Marilyn Squires.
He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Marshall and Joanne Jones (Jake); his granddaughters, Kaley Fitzgerald (Andrew) and Melanie Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Martin, Millie Tucker, Mary Squires, Fred Tucker (Lynda), Leonard Dooley and Jim Whitten. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Interment to follow in St. Philip's Anglican Cemetery, 20 Coady's Rd., Portugal Cove/St. Philip's.
