It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerard Francis LeDrew (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on October 22, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rexford "Tony" LeDrew and Helen LeDrew (Taaffe); his parents-in-law, Stephen and Marie Murphy (Hoskins); his brothers, Gus, Paul, John, Mike and Joe LeDrew; his siblings-in-law, Tom Guy, Jim Gavin, Phil McIntee, Elizabeth "Betty" Gavin, Mary Guy, Judie LeDrew, Edith Howlett and Joan LeDrew; and his nephews, Doug and Robert Guy.
He is survived by: his wife Anita; his children, Stephen (Trudy Lee), Susan (Rolf Pritchard) and Donald (Susan Patey); his grandchildren, Taylor (Stephen Bolen), Harrison, Anderson and Oliver Pritchard; his siblings, Bill, Leonard (Elaine) and Grace Marie; his sisters-in-law, Shirley LeDrew, Nora McIntee and Patsy Murphy; his nieces and nephews, Sheri-Anne, Shelley, Sandy LeDrew, Sheila, Tony, Bill, Jason LeDrew, Joanne, Jennifer, Denise LeDrew, Monica, Ryan, Stephanie LeDrew, Michael, Curtis LeDrew, Andy LeDrew, Alan Guy, Martin, Janice, Colin Gavin, Darrell, Phyllis McIntee, Terri-Lynn, Christopher, Evan, JC Patey and Tucker; his brother Chinese; and his friends, Jerry, Jean Rex, Bernd, Rochelle Staeben, Dave, Marcella Gillett, Rosanne Barclay and Cindy Halloran. He is also survived by friends, family and new friends.
Volunteering and community involvement gave him great joy which he continued until COVID made it impossible and thereafter his progressing dementia.
