She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Picco and Jessie Picco (Legrow); her husband Charlie; her daughter Virginia Tucker; her children-in-law, Wayne Pendergast, Clarence Tucker and Carolyn Churchill; and her close friend Cecil Burry.

She is survived by: her children, Ralph (Linda), Mary Pendergast, Valerie Thorne (Gerald), Neal (Esther), Doug (Gail) and Darrin (Debbie); her daughter-in-law Betty Tucker; her grandchildren, Blair (Martina), Gail (Trevor), Adam (Pam), Michelle (Steven), Jodi (Muthu), Ashley (Jim), Scott (Joanne), Curtis (Keira), Kim (Greg), Alison (Johnny), Tim (Laura), Mark (Jenna) and Noah; her great grandchildren, Heather (Donny), Charlie (Mikaila), Rosin, Elizabeth, Kelsey (Jonathon), Erin, Abby, Mary, Erica, Brielle, Boden, Sara, Connor and Claire; her great great grandchildren, Jack, Lucy and Anakin; her sister Mary Watts; her sisters-in-law, Mary Picco, Joyce Churchill and Ivy MacDougall; and her close friends, Donna Hill (Gosse), Tom and Maxine Rose.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Hazel made to the Memorial United Church in Portugal Cove or to the Janeway Foundation would be greatly appreciated by her family.
