Helen Shears Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on September 27, 2023, at the age of 91, Helen Shears (St John's, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Howard George Shears; and her parents, Albert Farrell and Violet Farrell. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Shears (Lucille), Tammy Murphy (Bren) and Cathy Nickerson (Paul); her grandchildren, Stephanie Hawkins (Andrew), Jennifer Petten (Kyle), Sarah Brooks (Jamie), Mitchell Shears, Matthew Nickerson (Kristen Shute) and Josh Murphy; her great grandchildren, Marley, Molly Hawkins, Lucia, Penelope Petten and Mya Brooks; her granddaughter Sister Nora Cantwell (Lynn Sorensen); and her caregiver Faith Ajala. She is also survived by relatives and friends.

Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice, For those unable to attend the service will be livestreamed.
