With solemn reverence, we commemorate Herbert Thorne (St John's, Newfoundland), whose life came to an end on January 6, 2025 at the age of 61, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Marguerite; his in-laws, James and Theresa; and his close friend Charles Somerton. He is survived by: his wife Theresa Moran; his daughters, Natasha (Matt) and Ashley (DJ); his siblings, Linda (Neil), Mary (Aubrey), Sheldon and Yvonne (Keith); his siblings-in-law, Christine (Pat), Lenny (Mary), Sheila (Doug) and Jay; and his close friends, Betty Tarrant, Jim Parsons and Fred Somerton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, his uncle and his great-great nephew.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Anglican Parish of Portugal (1824a Portugal Cove Rd, Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, NL A1M2N2).
Flowers are accepted and greatly appreciated, or donations in Herb's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice are welcome as well.
