He is survived by: his wife Ruby; his children, Stephen (Corinna) and Amanda Roberts (Jai); his grandchildren, Emily, Seth, Gavin and Jacob; his nephew Stephen Pennell (Lesa); and his siblings, Lloyd, Lynda Menchions, Raymond (Marsha), Gerrianne, Colin and Louise Howse. He is also survived by friends and a very large extended family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the senior band at the Salvation Army Mount Pearl Citadel or the Daffodil House through the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
