She was predeceased by: her husband Charles; her daughters, Judith Hillier and Bernice Maher; her parents, Maria Hutchings and Joseph Hutchings; her parents-in-law, Selina and Charles Hillier; and her siblings, Lizzie, Dorothy, Provie, Norm, Harold, Fred and Max.
She is survived by: her children, Gary and Sandra Pike (David); her grandchildren, Susan Legge (Greg), Michael Maher (Robin), Kimberley Leaman (Greg) and Jonathan Pike (Lauren); her great grandchildren, Emily, Dara Legge, Ryder, Maddox Maher, Jack and Remi Leaman; her son-in-law Loyola Maher (Philomena); her sister Joyce Clarke; and her close friends, Doreen and John Thistle. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Irene's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador or a charity of one's choice.
