She was loved and cherished by many people including: her mother Margaret Day; her brother Oscar (Elizabeth Forward); her grandparents, Wilfred (Foof), Violet Dawe (Dot), William and Gladys Day; her husband Wayne; her daughters, Ashlee Turpin (Steven) and Gillian O'Neill (Jamie); her father Melville (Mick); her sisters, Susan Saunders (David) and Peggy Tilley (John); her sister-in-law Debbie (Jeannie Baldwin); her nephews, Philip, Christopher Day and Rhys Saunders; and her grandchildren, Harlee, Callie Turpin, Jensen and Madelyn O'Neill.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Wesley United Church (101 Patrick St, St. John's, NL A1E0A5). The inurnment will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery (53 James Ln, St. John's, NL A1E3H3).
No flowers by request, however if you wish, you may make a donation in Janet's memory to one of her favourite charities, Wesley United Church, VOWR, or The Rock Wildlife Rescue or to a charity of your choice.
