She was predeceased by: her parents, Leander Mercer and Effie Mercer Granter (Stanley Briggs); and her sister Renee Penney. She is survived by: her brother Thomas Mercer (Linda); her stepchildren, Blair Briggs (Caroline) and Shannon Briggs; her stepgrandchildren, Mikaela and Nathan Briggs; her niece Heather Ryan (Sean); her nephews, David Penney, Jonathan Penney (Patricia) and Matthew Mercer; her close friend Maureen Dunne; and her husband Stan. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Flowers are happily accepted as are donations in her honor to either the Kidney Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
