It is with sadness that the passing of Joan Tiller (St John's, Newfoundland) is shared. Joan, born on July 10, 1944, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Sam; her son Troy; her daughter-in-law Monique (Ryan); her grandchildren, Ryan and Brendan; her daughter Trina Wyn; her siblings, Betty Crawshaw (late Douglas), Jean Holloway (Doug Manstan), John Butler (Sherry) and Bruce Butler (Beth); her parent Eric John Butler of St. Philip's; her siblings, Peter Tiller (Josephine), Sarah (Ralph) and Clarke; her parent Norma Garland; her sister Sherry; her sisters-in-law, Aggie Slade and Kay Parsons of Luke's Home; Eric (Westman), Sam and Warren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
Donations in her memory can be made to St. Luke's Home, The Jimmy Pratt Memorial Outreach Center, or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
