He was predeceased by: his father-in-law David Mercer; and his grandparents, Andrew, Annie Grant, George and Janet Finch.
He is survived by: his wife Susan; his daughter Ellen; his parents, Andrew Grant and Vera Grant; his siblings, Paul Grant (Penny), Ann Marie Gillingham (Trevor) and Cindy Gosse (Paul); and his in-laws, Regina Mercer, Stephen Mercer (Maria Afonso), Donald Mercer (Jennifer) and Andrew Kiceniuk (Andrea).
