John Charles Downton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Charles Downton (St John's, Newfoundland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 12, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Downton and Marjorie Downton; his sisters, Cynthia Downton and Isabelle Ann Johnston; his brother-in-law Ken Authier; his wife Alanna Downton (Badcock); and his daughters, Anne Downton (Lee Clarke) and Dr. Karen Downton (Matthew Nippard).
He is survived by: his siblings, Peter Downton (Elizabeth), David Downton (Regina), Marilyn Adey (Doug), Sandra Authier and Kathryn Downton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
