He was predeceased by: his parents, John Francis Sr. and Lillian Francis (Street); and his sisters, Loretta, Joan and Gloria.

He is survived by: his cousins, Sharon Street, Yvonne McGrath, Beverly Escott, Ambrose Street, Juanette Anthony, Elaine Hamlyn and Shirley Street Yetman; his niece Teresa Mullowney; and his friend Joan Harrellson.
