She was predeceased by: her husband Lance Chafe; her parents, Leo Clarke and Greta Clarke; her parents-in-law, Ronald and Myrtle Chafe; her siblings-in-law, Bonita Mercer, Suzzette Chafe, Dwight Chafe, Chellis Chafe and Art Mercer; her nephew David Mercer; and her niece Nicole Howell.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Chafe (Yvonne) and Connie Chafe-Hineman; her grandson Ricky Hineman (Caitlin); her siblings, Celestine Clarke (Dorothy), George Clarke (Marion), Betty Legge (Frazer) and Marjorie Strowbridge; her siblings-in-law, Frances Mackey, Dawn Denief (Ronnie), Tony Chafe and Deano Chafe; her aunt Ethel MacNeil (Ron); and her close friends, Gene Anderson, Harry Chafe, Joan Chafe, Georgina Noseworthy and Loretta Steele. She is also survived by her co-workers but also made life-long friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service was held on Sunday, August 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
