She was predeceased by : her husband Geoffrey Penney; her parents, Ronald Penney and Clara Penney; and her brother Ronald Penney. She is survived by : her daughters, Stephanie Penney (Shannon Burden), Zena Penney (Blaine Clark) and Renee Penney (Shedrach Osareniro); her grandchildren, Bianca Penney, Theo Penney, Olivia Penney-Osareniro and Branson Clark; and her siblings, Calvin Penney (Julia), Stanley Penney (Mildred), Charlotte Penney (Gerald), Austin Penney (Glynes) and Sharon Kippenhuck (Bert). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Memorial Donations may be made in Joyce Penney's name to Mental Health Department, Labrador West Health Centre, 1700 Nichols-Adam Highway, Labrador City, NL A2V 0B2.
