She was predeceased by: her husband Rex Nicol; her parents, Charles Howse and Mediam Howse; and her siblings, Millicent Moss, Nelson Howse, Albert Howse, Eleazer Howse and Gordon Howse.
She is survived by: her daughter Jane Rice (Wayne); her granddaughter Laura Curtis (Jamie); and her stepchildren, Eileen Shaw and John Nicol.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joyce's name to the Canadian Cancer Society.
