Joyce (Lakin) Walters Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce (Lakin) Walters (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on May 4, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband Lloyd Walters; her daughters, Alma and Joyce Murphy; her granddaughter Terri-Lynn Strang; her parents, Henry Lakin and Martha Lakin; her sisters, Olive (Tucker), Agnes (Summers) and Thelma (Dagg); and her stepbrothers, Leslie and Albert Field.
She is survived by : her daughter Debbie Strang (Terry); her son-in-law Dave Murphy; her great grandchildren, Ryan Murphy and Jennifer Murphy; and her brother Fred Lakin (Dora).
At her request, cremation has taken place however due to the Public Health Advisory of COVID-19, there will be no visitation at this time.
Donations in Joy's memory can be made to Shriner's Burn Unit for Children, Cystic Fibrosis Canada – NL Chapter or a charity of one's choice.
