He was predeceased by: his wife Maxene; his brothers, Gerald, Collin, Earl and Seymour; his son-in-law Roland Delaney; his children, Richard Stead (Kim), Cathy Tessier, Robert Stead (Catherine), Vickie Stead, Lorie Dallas (David) and Deborah Delaney (late Roland); and his parents, John Stead and Evelyn Stead of Little Catalina.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mae Lander (Boyd) and Wayne Stead (Vivian); his great grandchild Pop; and his significant other John Williams.
