He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Schwartz and Ethel Schwartz; his daughter Sandra; his parents-in-law, Violet and Ezekiel; his brothers, Eddie (Pat) and Harold; and his siblings-in-law, Beverley, Darlene and Roy.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Dave (Catherine), Brian (Colleen) and Stephanie (Mike); his grandchildren, Steve (Allison) and Sidney; his great grandchildren, Sam and Eli; his brothers, Bernard (Marie) and John (Pat); and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis, Edna, Joan Rachel (Ivan), Pauline (Byron), Wayne (Bertha), Oral (Marion), David (Dawn), Vaden (Naida), Kevin (Joyce) and Barry. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 14th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Home (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A reception will be held on Friday, May 15th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Barrett's Reception Centre (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
