He was predeceased by: his wife Bertha; his daughters, Hazel and Susan; his parents, Albert Skinner and Louisa Skinner; his sisters, Janet Bishop (Jack) and Isabel Wells (Stellman); his stepbrother Roland Fudge; and his daughter Paula Rosa-Bian (Joe).
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Boland (Randy), Dinah Brennan (Randy), Shirley Skinner (Rolo) and Tanya Holden (Steven); his son-in-law Bill Huryn; his grandchildren, Vanessa, Rhonda, Lewis, Leigh, Natasha, Lois, Keith, Jessica, Desiree, Brandi, Jonathan, Hope and Carter; his great grandchildren, Tyler, Stryder, Remi, Nevaeh, Mason, Keedan, Avriona, Makinley and Barrett; his sisters, Lucy Gundersen (Hilmar), Burnsie (Thomas Lawrence) and Louisa Healey (Charlie); his siblings-in-law, Marilyn, Doug MacDonald and Phyllis Holloway; and his cousin Ethel Boland.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, on Friday, February 6th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and on Saturday, February 7th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Lawrence Anglican Church (1824a Portugal Cove Rd, Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, NL A1M2J4).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove, or a charity of one's choice.
