She was predeceased by: her husband William Somerton; her parents, John Greeley and Isabella Greeley; her brothers, William (Vera) and George Greeley; her siblings-in-law, Charles Somerton (Bertha), Hilda Abbott (Eric) and Alice Somerton (Thomas); and her nieces and nephews, David Greeley, Wade Greeley, Charl Somerton, Lorraine Thorne and Marilyn Ezekiel (Fred).
She is survived by: her close friend Violet Lundrigan; her nieces and nephews, Sylvia Greeley, Shirley Greeley, Gloria Greeley, Sandra Neary (Ron), Doug Greeley (Deb), Tom Greeley (Heather), Glen Greeley (Rhonda), Grant Greeley (Kathy), Derrick Greeley (Lori Hynes), Walter Somerton (late Donna) and Philip Thorne; and her friend Beatrice.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the 8th St. Lawrence Anglican Church (1824a Portugal Cove Rd, Portugal Cove-St. Philip's, NL A1M2N2).
