She was predeceased by: her husband Bert Case. She is survived by: her children, Pamela Cooper, James (Cindy) and George (Rosalie); her grandchildren, Emily Case (Colin Greene), Josh Case, Christopher Cooper, Stephen Cooper and Julia Case; her great grandchild Charlotte Greene; and her close friend Pearce Penney. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation and funeral service prior to interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery will follow at a later date when Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lu's name to the General Hospital School of Nursing Alumni Scholarship Fund (2 Bindon Place, St. John's, NL, A1A 5B8).
