She was predeceased by: her parents, William Mercer and Dorothy Mercer; her parents-in-law, Thomas and Ruby Mercer; her siblings, Lorraine Madden (Shawn), Lew Mercer (Mary), William Mercer and Nellie Boland (Simon); her siblings-in-law, Sterling Smith and Marie Mercer; her sister Doris Dwyer; and her friend Janet Crane.
She is survived by: her husband Art; her children, Deanne (Mike Knee), Donna (John Bellows) and Thomas (Sara); her grandsons, Logan, Liam Knee, Fynn and Felix Mercer; her siblings, Vera Ebsary (Roy), Florence Smith, Barb Osmond (Carl), Victor (Mildred), George, Donnie (Brenda) and Sheila Gosse (Gary); and also, Gordon Crane and Alethia Mercer.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, on Sunday, August 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Barretts Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
As expressions of sympathy, flowers are gratefully accepted as Mom loved them or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
