She was predeceased by: her husband Bert Hillyard; her daughter-in-law Janice Hillyard; her parents, George Yetman and Ada Yetman; and her siblings, Ches, Evelyn, Stuart and Lillian.

She is survived by: her children, Gail (Conrad), Rod and Stephen (Tracy); her grandchildren, Eve Powell, Kim Hillyard, Colin Powell (Jen), Ben Hillyard (Cass) and Sam Hillyard (Sarah); and her siblings, Graham (Jane), Freeman (Carol) and Louise Mercer (Nat). She is also survived by numerous other relatives and friends.
