Martha Verna Celeste (Barbour) Howse Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martha Verna Celeste (Barbour) Howse (St John's, Newfoundland), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 4, 2025 at the age of 95. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Baxter; her brother Wilfred Barbour; and her brothers-in-law, Herb (Bea), Carl (Rowena) and Bill (late Jean).
She is survived by: her children, Gary (Francie) and Glenda (Derek Galway); her grandchildren, Nancy (Patrick) and Andrew (Sanchia Bignell); her great grandchild Kieran; her sister Marina; and her siblings-in-law, Joan Barbour, Marion (late Homer Stewart) and Ray Howse (late Joan).
A funeral service was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. James United Church (330 Elizabeth Ave, St. John's, NL A1B1T9).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Bridges to Hope or the SPCA St. John's.
