Mary Shearman Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 16, 2026, at the age of 91, Mary Shearman (St John's, Newfoundland) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Mary departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mary. Though Mary may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her husband Reginald James Shearman; her parents, Deborah Carr and George Carr; her son Colin Albert Shearman; and her sister Renee Carr.
She is survived by: her children, Janet Lavery and Keith Shearman; her sister Ethel Carr; and her grandchildren, Amanda, Brant Lavery, Aaron Shearman, Sophia and Kathryn Shearman. She is also survived by 4 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Barrett's Chapel (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
