He is survived by: his wife Ethel Mesher of Batteau, Labrador.; his children, Wade (June), Lot (Patrica), Kirby (Kim) and Annette (Michael); his grandchildren, Jennetta, Rodi, Stephan, Billy, Courtney, Laura, Jessica, Justin, Brandon and Danielle; his great grandchildren, Abby, Morgan, Nataly, Jack and Ben; his siblings, Jim Short (Vida), Josie Powell and Irene Roberts; his friend Ray Elliott; his siblings-in-law, Charlotte Bird, Marion Davis and Randolph Dyson; his siblings, Bertha Cassoni, Elizabeth Patey, Patsy Short, Lot, George Short, Walter Powell, William Patey, Melvin Roberts and Tony Cassoni; his sister-in-law Shirley Short; his nephew Donald Powell; his parents-in-law, Mary Ellen Dyson and Michael Dyson; and his sister-in-law Emily Curl.
