He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley; his parents, Cornelius Murrin and Louise Murrin; and his siblings, Donald, Constance and Catherine.

He is survived by: his sister Peggy; his grandson Darren (Melissa); his stepchildren, Wanda, Bob, Poppy, Jack, Sophie and Jasmine; and his grandchildren, Wanda and Terri-Lynn.
