With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nicholas Hender (St John's, Newfoundland), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Sam, Lucy Hender, Nick and Florence; and his aunt Marion Hope.
He is survived by: his wife Kelly Batten Hender; his parents, Frank and Daphne; his siblings, Rebecca and Matthew (Melissa); his aunts and uncles, Wilhelmina Peddle (Gerald), Myrtle Fowler (Ern), Boyd Petten and Paul Hope; his cousins, Robert Peddle (Betty), Nicole Hope, Christopher Hope (Mikaela) and Lisa Warren; his in-laws, Ken and Dianne Batten; his brothers-in-law, Tony (Wanda) and Chris (Beth); and his nephews, Harris and Duncan. He is also survived by relatives, friends and coworkers.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
Donations in Nick's memory may be made to Quintessential Vocal Ensemble or the Learning Disabilities Association of Newfoundland and Labrador.
