He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Drakes and Martha Drakes. He is survived by: his wife Bernice; his son Corey (Claire) of Leduc; his grandson Gregory (Amber) of Kelowna, BC; his stepgranddaughters, Aleesa and Madison; his sister Frances Barnes of Hay River, NWT.; his niece Joanne Bourgeois (Gilles) of Hay River, NWT.; his siblings-in-law, Wanda Mattew (Ron), Viola Smith (Gerry), Hilda Senior (Bert), Hannah Murphy (Alex), Lisa Hayes (Randy), Lloyd Walters (Linda), Levi Walters (Dianne), Reg Walters (Marilyn) and Roy Walters (Lynette); his father-in-law Everett Walters; his niece Karen Walters; and his brother-in-law Angus Barnes.
