He was predeceased by : his parents, Henry and Clare of Neil's Harbour; his siblings, Matthew (Sadie), John (Beatrice), Ann (Charlie), Jean (Owen), Martha, Ewart, Ray, Bobby (Donna) and Lillian; and his siblings-in-law, Richard and Dorothy.

He is survived by : his wife Georgina; his children, Norman (Sharon), Rose MacEachern (Joe), Stephen (Dorilla), David (Donna), Jeffery (Debbie), Laurel Greene (Adam), Scott (Linda), Sandra Osmond (Almon) and Elizabeth Bowering (David); his grandchildren, Colleen, Stephen, Gary, Lisa, Matthew, Claire, Grace, Jeffrey, Andrew, Catherine, Duncan, Julia and Laura Jane; his siblings, Eva Strickland, Maggie Farrier and Philip; and his sister-in-law Barbara.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions a private funeral service and burial will take place.
