It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Pearl (Patten) Benson (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away at the age of 94, on February 18, 2023. She was predeceased by : her husband Cecil; her parents, Gordon Patten and Belle Patten; her brothers, Raymond, Vernon and Matthew Petten; her parents-in-law, Sandy and Millie Benson; and her siblings-in-law, George, Donald, Mary Benson, Beulah Walters (Egbert), Olive Drover (Hedley), Dorothy Atkins and Audrey Lindstrom (Robert).

She is survived by : her children, Jeff (Olga McWilliam), Sharon (John Callahan) and David (Kirsten Grabke); her granddaughters, Amy (Tyler), Robyn Callahan (Kyle), Annika and Kianna Benson; her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Petten, Daphne Benson, Tom Benson (Shirley), Gerald Benson (Ruth) and Chesley Atkins (Margaret); and her caregiver Linda Pearce-Manning. She is also survived by nephews, nieces, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pearl's memory may be made to the Salvation Army St. John's Temple Corps Band Instruments Procurement program or its Refugee Project, or a charity of one's choice.
