It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Peter Major Templeton (St John's, Newfoundland), who passed away on June 13, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret; his children, Joan, Debbie Collingwood (Peter) and John (Alexis); his grandchildren, Tim, Sam, Susan, Danica and Mathias; his parents, Robert A. Templeton and Agnes Templeton; and his siblings, Robert, Anna, Agnes, Allan, Isabel and David.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Carnell's Funeral Home (329 Freshwater Rd, St. John's, NL A1B1C3). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Andrews Church. The inurnment will be held on Tuesday, June 17th 2025 at the General Protestant Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend a quiet moment remembering Peter — in peace, as he lived. Donations can be made in his name to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church.
