He was predeceased by : his parents, George Frederick Best and Elsie Genevia Best (Reid); his brother Lloyd Best; his father-in-law Martin Walsh; and his sister-in-law Lucy Costello (Walsh).
He is survived by : his granddaughters, Maren and Bridget Best; his wife Margaret (Walsh); his children, Erin Best (Trent Horne) and Andrew Best (Jenny Gear); his siblings, Anita Best, Brian Best (Diane Flynn) and Gladys Stacey; his nieces, Kate Power, Sarah Best (Brad Smart) and Elizabeth Walsh; his nephew Tim Best; and his sister-in-law Cathy Best.
Due to Covid, the funeral service will be limited to immediate family, but it will be live-streamed on the Carnell's website at 1pm on Tuesday, December 22nd.
