He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bishop and Edna Bishop; his wife Sharon Oliver; his brother Bert White; his parents-in-law, Charlie and Dorothy Oliver; and his friends, Dick Sheppard, Wayne Craik and Eugene McGrath of Ocean Pond.
He is survived by: his great grandchild Alberta; his sons, Chad (Amanda) and Craig (Anne Marie); his grandchildren, Erika (Bradley), Aidan of Jack, CJ and Kate; his great grandchildren, Callie and Cayden; his sisters, Debbie (Dennis) and Gail; his siblings-in-law, Harriet, Colleen (Dan), Charles (Paula), Jim (Francine) and Danny (Sherry); and his close friend Christine.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Barrett's Funeral Homes - St. John's (328 Hamilton Ave, St. John's, NL A1E1J9).
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
